History of the new building

The conception of the new 40'x120' building started when a small group of campers from Florida and Georgia camped out at the Blessing Field during the 2008 Memorial Day Weekend and envisioned the 2009 annual conference to be held at the Blessing Field. That vision led to a determination to raise fund and build an enclosed building suitable as worship rooms with bathroom facility before the summer of 2009.

Sure enough, praise the Lord, donations including a large donation started to come in during the summer of 2008. The Construction Team started to search for a prefab frame and made a decision to select a prefab company in December 2008. At the same time, four churches agreed to provide the Blessing Field with some no-interest loans which allowed us to afford a 40'x120' instead of a smaller one.

The actual ground preparation to receive the building begun in December 2008 and the construction work continued through June 2009. The work included clearing and leveling the land area for the building, laying down the slab, installing the plumbing and septic tanks, erecting the prefab, installing the wall and roof, installing the dividing walls and bathrooms, installing electrical connections, painting the walls, etc.

Except for the laying of the slab, all labors and expertise were donated by several dozens of volunteers who came nearly every weekend during the first half of 2009.
